Effie Bruce

Effie has been with Centretown Vet since it first opened in 2008. She started as a veterinary assistant and then decided to go back to school for veterinary technician, having earned her registration in 2013. Effie became Lead Technician in 2020 and then was promoted to Practice Manager and transferred to Embrun Veterinary Hospital in 2021. Once her manager skills were honed, she returned home to Centretown Vet as Practice Manager in July 2023. Since the start of her career, Effie had 2 beloved rescues, Doug, a dachshund who passed away in 2019 at the age of 15 and sweet Raven, a cairn terrier mix, who passed away in July 2023. Effie recently adopted a rescue pup, a Pomeranian named Ray, AKA Little Ray of Sunshine.
