Microchipping

Microchipping is crucial for pet safety, ensuring a higher chance of reunion if they ever get lost.

A microchip is a permanent method of electronic identification for your dog. It is a minimally invasive, low cost and virtually pain-free means of tracking a lost pet.

Why is it a good idea to microchip my dog?

As our pets cannot speak for themselves, microchipping is an easy way to ensure your pet can be identified if lost and you can be contacted when they are found.

How does microchipping work and is it safe for my dog?

Each chip has a unique number that is detected using a microchip scanner. The microchip number is recorded on a database registry with details about the animal and owner. The chip itself is very small – about the size of a grain of rice – and is implanted just under the skin between the shoulder blades at the back of your pet’s neck.
